On March 30th, a distinguished Bhāṣyotsava celebrating the prominent Prasthānatrayī commentaries of the Sanātana Hindu Dharma was held at the Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University. The event was organized by both the university and the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, New Delhi. During the event, eminent scholars, including Acharya Shripad Subrahmaniya Shastri, Pundit Pramod Kulkarni, Dr. Dhananjay Rav, Dr. T.K. Nrusinha, and Pundit Shrihari Shivaram Dhaygude, engaged in deliberations on many darśanic commentaries. Thereafter, Mahāmahopādhyāya Bhadreshdas Swami presented the principles of the Akṣara-Puruṣottama Darśana and elaborated on the Vedic roots of the darśana’s teachings. He concluded by proclaiming that while it is important to maintain one’s own doctrinal beliefs and principles, it is also essential that we work together to strengthen Sanātana Dharma. All attendees applauded Mahāmahopādhyāya Bhadreshdas Swami’s sentiments.
In the final session of this event, BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute honored Prof. Pankaj Chande for his significant academic contributions by bestowing him with the Kulpati Vibhushan Award. Thereafter, Dr. Madhusudan Penna, the Vice-Chancellor of the Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, presented a written declaration endorsing the Akṣara-Puruṣottama Darśana on behalf of all of the scholars present. This declaration expressed the Akṣara-Puruṣottama Darśana as a distinct Vedic darśana and its position alongside Advaita, Dvaita, Viśiṣṭādvaita, and other Vedānta darśanas. The session concluded with Mahāmahopādhyāya Bhadreshdas Swami felicitating all attending scholars.
